Jun 15, 2015. #1. Just put this tractor back together after getting it in parts and put the 5 ft brush hog on it today. It runs good, starts good and has good oil pressure. Its a 51 side mount. The grass and weeds were thick and almost up to the top of the hood and I was in 1st gear and the tach was at the 538 rpm line.

According to the service manual, the float should be set at 1 5/16. To check it, I set the carb upside down and measured from the bottom of the top half of the carb to the bottom of the float.
